 Microfocus Data Protector Client Local Installation Steps

1. From CM:

            ping client’s hostname

            telnet client’s hostname 5565

2. From Client:

            ping CM’s hostname

            telnet CM’s hostname 5565

3. if ping & telnet from CM and client are all good, please locally install DP on client
4. On client: open command prompt, run the command

            omnicc -secure_comm -reconfigure_peer CM’s hostname

5. On CM: open command prompt, run the commands

            omnicc -secure_comm -reconfigure_peer client’s hostname

            omnicc -import_host client’s hostname

     After that, open GUI to check if client is added.
